In fourth grade students learn how to self-advocate and self-challenge. They focus on a growth mindset where making mistakes is okay!
Fourth graders study Colorado History and use real-life problem solving to learn long division. Highlights of fourth grade include the Pioneer Experience at Walker Ranch, real world economics at Ameritowne, and four in-house experiences; Energy Presentation, Zia Sun Symbol Storytelling, Fossils Alive!, and The Great Space Escape. Through R.I.S.E.(Reading Intergenerationally Sharing Experiences) program, 4th grade invites seniors from the community into the classroom to read with them.
